About the author, Philip Beard

Philip was born, raised and then stayed in Pittsburgh, where he practiced law full time for ten years before turning to writing. He is best known for his first novel, DEAR ZOE, which was named by the American Library Association's "Booklist" as one of its Ten Best First Novels of the year. DEAR ZOE is now in development as a feature film starring Sadie Sink of Stranger Things. His latest novel, SWING, won the 2016 Independent Publisher's Gold Medal for Best Contemporary Fiction.
